4th of July

Like every year, We did the Riverdale Old Glory Days 5k run. My goal this year was just to keep running and not stop. I did it and finished in 31 minutes. I didn't think it was too bad.
After the run, we go to the breakfast the Lions Club puts on at the park. The kids were having a fun time playing on the swings.
Brady was able to come down and go to the Parade. The kids just absolutely love having him around....
I think..

Moab

Since our friend Korey is living in Moab we decided we were going to go down and visit him. So we loaded up the 4-wheelers, dirt bike, and truck and headed down. The first day we got up super early, no one knows why, and headed to the slick rock. The truck we took down is an old '91 Nissan that is not meant to go rock crawling. This didn't stop Brady. About 2/3 of the way in, Brady decided it would be a good idea to go down into the "Car Wash". I didn't have a good feeling about it but down he went. He started going up and was just bouncing around. We kept telling him to straighten out his wheels and he said they were straight. Well, one was but the other had a busted steering rod.
I can honestly say, before that day I had never seen a duck-tired truck. First time for everything. The dogs got really hot waiting for us to fix the truck so they went for a swim in "Devils Hot Tub".
Since the truck was broke, we went and saw arches the next day. I don't ever remember seeing them before so this was pretty much a first for me.
There was a track down there so the boys decided they wanted to go play. I'm pretty sure they were having a contest to see who could jump the farthest.

Easter at the Dunes

This year we decided to go out to Jericho for Easter. I could not believe how many people were out there! It got kind of cold in the morning and once the sun went down but it was still really fun. I absolutely love to watch Brady out there just having fun.Korey got the guts to sit underneath Brady while he jumped over him. When we woke up Easter morning we had a little bit of a surprise. There was a few inches of snow so we decided to pack up and go. Except for the snow, it was a pretty fun weekend.

Rhino Rally '10

Our yearly tradition is to go down to the Rhino Rally in St George at the end of February. This is the weekend Brady proposed so it's something fun to do . This year we took his little brother Casey and our friend Korey. Brady and Casey were going to race while me and Korey stayed back and hung out. In the two previous years we've gone down I haven't seen Brady finish. This was going to be the year I saw him cross the finish line. We watched the 300 bikes take off into the desert and I was able to see Brady in the pack of everyone. We figured a 50 mile desert race would take a while so me and Korey went back into town to get some hot chocolate. When we got back people were starting to finish. Someone told us the group Brady was in had to do another loop so we stayed by the truck to fill him up when he came in. He came rolling up.
He said he only had to do the one loop. I didn't see him finish, again! He ended up finishing 5th in his class and got an award for it. Casey finished the race and ended up chipping a few teeth. All in all we had a great time. Next year I am going to see him cross the finish line.

Remodeling and Moving

Since Brady has gotten a job up in Tremonton we decided it was time to move back into our house. There were a few things we wanted to redo before moving in. The walls are painted over wallpaper and it was starting to peel off so we had to tear all that down and repaint. We also wanted to fix the floor in the shower since it would puddle in places.
We also needed to make our closet bigger and put some outlets in our laundry room.
With a fresh coat of paint on everything here is the finished product. We are very excited to be in our house and to be in our own place again. If anyone wants to come visit, feel free.

Trip to St George with friends

This last weekend we were able to head down to St George and stay at a friends house. I didn't get to go down until Friday night but I sure made the best of the rest of the time. We went out for a night ride that night and just came back and relaxed a little. Saturday got a late start since half of the 4 wheelers we took down didn't work too well. We had to pull them out and work on them that morning and headed out that afternoon. Once we did get out we had a BLAST! We went and found some jumps and started competing.
The best part of the whole trip was putting the baja bug, 3 dirt bikes, and 6 four wheelers in a snowmobile trailer. Here are some pictures but it doesn't do it justice.

Learned My Lesson

So this is a story about why you shouldn't get upset at your husband for stupid little things; it turns out bad. I was mad at Brady because he threw a snaps (the things you throw on the ground around the 4th of July and they pop.). Well anyway, I was pissed and I left to go feed my parents dogs. Well I had to open the door to get to the dog food and pushed the glass, like I always do, to open it. My hand moved forward, the door just didn't. I smashed my hand right through the glass and cut up my wrist. I was lucky it wasn't a deep cut but it still didn't feel good.
This is why you shouldn't get mad at your spouse for stupid little things like hitting you with a snaps.
